The Trakstand was created at the request from Ireland Track and Road Team senior mechanic, Sandy Gilchrist, who was looking for a lightweight bike stand, that was compact and sturdy.
As a bonus feature of the design, the Trakstand is modular and is able to connect to other Trakstands so that any number of bikes can be supported in a row.
The Trakstand has been used by the team at cycling events around the World, including the 2016 Olympics in Rio and the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
To help bring the Trakstand into full production, we launched a crowd funding project on Kickstarter that, unfortunately, was unsuccessful. However, a sufficient number of our backers had faith in the Trakstand and continued to support us, to the extent that we were able to get it into production anyway.
The Trakstand is constructed from 6061 aluminium with adjustable, injection moulded grivory yokes, that support the bicycle by the seat and chain stays.
The yokes are adjustable for height to suit bikes of all sizes and the unique design holds the bike securely enough to clean it with a jetwasher (although we don't recommend it).
Weighing 735 grams and folding down to 690 mm x 60 mm x 50 mm, the Trakstand is ideal to take with you to prep your bike before a ride or in the bike bag for those overseas adventures.
